New Digg finally has an app!

Digg’s relaunch has made more progress today with the public launch of its Android and iOS apps, along with an invite system so that existing beta users can bring their friends into the ongoing beta program.

Digg staffer Justin posted about it on Digg today (duh), but of course you’ll need to be part of the beta to see the post!

Honestly I’m not super sure what sets this new-gen Digg apart from old rival Reddit, even after being part of the beta myself for a while now, but they’ve promised a lot of new features in the weeks to come, so… we’ll see!

Catch up: Digg is now owned again by original founder Kevin Rose, along with Reddit’s co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Read about the acquisition here at Tech Crunch.
