‘But Also John Clarke’ documentary out on September 4

I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to something so much, but maybe it’s just the times making me excited for something that will clearly be so full of joy!

Despite being in my mid ’40s, I really only know Clarke from his incredible Clarke & Dawe sketches (with Bryan Dawe of course), and really I was too young to truly appreciate the cutting insights delivered with so much brilliant comedy. What I wouldn’t give to have those two doing their work on today’s pack of four-letter-words in Canberra.

The film will be in Australian and New Zealand cinemas from September 4!

“When satirist John Clarke died in 2017, the world mourned an icon. A defining comedic voice for over forty years, Clarke gave away very little about his own life. At home, by contrast, he was an open book. In a remarkable series of recorded conversations, John and his daughter (writer/director Lorin Clarke) trace his steadfast resistance to authority back to his childhood, delve into his early career forging a career in New Zealand, and offer delightful insights into his four decades in the entertainment industry.”
